Sandwiches on Croissants

Croissants are buttery morning pasteries-or so I thought. Yes, I had seen croissants with sandwich type fillings but never thought to try one. I had purchased 4 of them in a box from the Fresh Market and was having one each morning with a cup of coffee--pure heaven! Then came the day when I had no regular bread in my apartment--it was lunch time and I was starving. I really felt like a sandwich---

I did have some seafood salad (also from the Fresh Market). I proceeded to cut the croissant in half-spread the seafood salad on it closed it and cut it in half. The croissants from the Fresh Market are big!! It was delicious abd filling.

I will probably try other fillings (tuna salad, egg salad, ham) and maybe even buy one of the sandwichs premade on a croissant that are for sale at the Fresh Market. My only problem being that I dislike mayo--less of it is better in my opinion--so I will probably make the fillings myself!
