Book Review-TIGER LILY OF BANGKOK IN LONDON--Owen Jones

Lily is at it again--she just can not stand the thought of child abusers getting away with their horrendous deeds. She can not get past what happened in her own life and even with her Buddhist background and knowledge of Karma is drawn into attempting to rid the world of pedophiles! Extremely inventive (she crafts her own murder weapons) and her body which has been trained in various methods as well she becomes embroiled in ridding the world of at least a couple more pedophiles.

At heart Lily is truly a good person (although her past has made her a stone cold killer), working towards becoming a doctor and when she meets up with a teen "gang" manages to convince them and helps them to turn their lives around--then she find out they know who abused them--Yes--Tiger Lily was reborn--this time in London.

Although I know that it is wrong to kill I can't help but cheer Lily on--I wonder how many actually would agree with me. You should enjoy this sequel to Tiger Lily of Bangkok (see my review here). I am hoping their will be a third in this series!!

About the Book: (from Amazon)

After the devastating effect her rampage had on her own life and the citizens of Bangkok in her early days as a medical student there, Lily's life quietened, and she settled down to her studies. After two years, she won a scholarship to work in Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital in London and moved there without Ron, who continued his education in Bangkok.

'Tiger Lily of Bangkok in London' picks up her story in her second of two years as a student doctor at the hospital. She loves her job there, and gets on well with the staff and children patients alike, but she has no friends outside work.

On one of her days off, she reads an article in the Sunday Times about organised paedophile rings in London involving the very establishment of the country itself and it incenses her.

She can either ignore it or get involved.

Her first reaction is to avoid re-arousing the Demon that had possessed her in Bangkok only a couple of years earlier, but when she meets fellow victims of child abuse, the die seems cast.

This story is not for the squeamish, but does not describe acts of child abuse. It does, however, make frequent references to notorious scenes of child abuse, especially the infamous 'Meat Rack' on Piccadilly Circus in central London.

Many of the issues raised are still under police enquiry at the time of writing, although few people expect anything to come from them.

Shame on our so-called leaders, who would rather protect the powerful abusers than the powerless abused!

  34. Hi,

I have really enjoyed reading your comments.
However I want to reveal something that I didn't tell Miki.
I will just copy a post I made elsewhere, if that's alright:

"Most non-Londoners have never heard of the Piccadilly Circus Meat Rack.
"Look it up if you dare.
"I am really not joking, it's a national disgrace.
"I'm talking about something huge and real, GOING ON RIGHT NOW - the very moment, whenever it is, that you are reading these words, with British kids and young visitors from abroad!"

Just Google it and tell me if I'm a liar :-(

I promise that you will never forget this very real phenomenon, and will look out for it from now on wherever in the world you live.

  45. Tiger Lily of Bangkok in London is the sequel, but I know where she is going from here. I hope that I will have time to write it early in the New Year.
If she will wait that long...

    Thanks everyone for your comments.
    All the best,
    Owen
