Book Review-Scandal's Daughter (Rogues and Gentlemen Book 3) -Emma V Leech

A sweet but adventurous girl is orphaned and taken in and brought up by her aunt and uncle. They refuse to tell her what really happened with her parents--As she is quite happy and content she never even bothers wondering. The truth will floor you!

The Duke of Singleton and his best friend from Oxford days, Beau are bored--they take off to a friends estate for a rollicking good time. The Duke is bored and takes off on a walk--the weather changes and he takes shelter in a cave where Georgiana has also taken shelter. She somehow manages to deflect his advances but agrees to meet him the next day in the meadow where prying eyes won't see them. He has introduced himself as his friend Beau.

They ultimately fall in love. Georgiana knows nothing can come of it anyway--a Duke can't marry the daughter of the local doctor--so he leaves-------her modesty if not her heart still intact.

Well, the truth of Georgiana's parantage and what actually happened way back then is finally revealed to her by a relative who wants her money?

She is sent off to London and all kinds of craziness takes place-----

I found myself with wide eyes at some points and laughing at others. Romeo and Juliet? You will have to read to find out how it all culminates!!

I received an ebook copy of this book for enjoyment and possible review.

About the Book: (from Amazon)

Sebastian Grenville, The Duke of Sindalton, known as Sin to the ton, has had his fair share of scandal. His father's involvement in what became referred to as 'The Scandal of the Century' plunged him into the spotlight at the tender age of twelve, and he's been there ever since. Egged on by his best friend, Beau - The Marquis of Beaumont, his life is one of dissipation and ease. But every duke needs an heir and everyone knows Sindalton is in the market for a wife.

Both men, bored to death by balls and matchmaking mamas, go to a friend's hunting lodge in Cornwall. But caught in a storm, Sindalton heads for cover. Seeking shelter in a cave, the duke is delighted when he stumbles upon Miss Georgiana Bomford, the niece of the local doctor. But the feisty red-headed beauty is unimpressed by his attempt to entice her. Sindalton, however, is captivated and intent on seduction, makes her the target of his all too tempting charms. But Georgiana is not who he thinks she is, and when they meet again in London, the scandalous past is in danger of repeating itself.

  1. This so sounds like something I could get into. I would love to learn the roads they take to get to the truth of it all. And likely them falling back into each others arms.
