Flag that flew over Fort McHenry in 1814, photographed in 1873 in the Boston Navy Yard by George Henry Preble.[1](from Wikipedia)

The First Stanza of our National Anthem-The Star Spangled Banner by Francis Scott Key. For the other 3 verses and lots of other information visit Wikipedia

O say can you see by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there;
O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave,
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

Now on to the giveaway----Miki's Hope will once again be giving away $25 Amazon GC or $25 PayPal to one lucky winner World Wide who can actually sing the Star Spangled Banner without missing any of the correct notes (just kidding!!) It's the part with Red Glare where my vocal cords can't quite make the note! It will be really easy this time. And after entering my contest I highly suggest you scroll down below the Rafflecopter form and go enter on all the other participants as well. Each has a prize worth at least $25.00.
