I will be taking my father out to dinner, he's been in an out of the hospital lately so I want to take him out.

ReplyDeleteUnfortunately my father has terminal cancer, with God willing he has 6 months although he seems worse everyday. My plans are a small indoor picnic for him with food grilled outside. He has always loved his picnics but if he is not up to that I will just sit beside him and tell him what a wonderful father and man he is and that he can go be with mom whenever he chooses. Sorry, wordy.

I'm sorry for your loss! My step dad raised me since I was two years old and I have planned to get him a couple of new hawaiian shirts and a gift card to his favorite hawaiian restaurant. He loves Hawaii! Unfortunately I'll be working that day so I won't be able to hang out with him.

ReplyDeleteMy dad lives in another state so I don't get to celebrate with him in person, but I always call him to with him a happy Father's Day. If I were to win this giveaway, I would use the PayPal cash to take my husband out for lunch. My husband and I weren't able to be parents, but we always do something special for one another on Father's and Mother's day because they are very difficult days for us and reminders of what wasn't meant to be.

We were going to go hiking at the Salamonie, my dad loves going! Unfortunately, we have a wedding we can't miss that day (the day before Father's Day) so I think I'm going to see if my husband wants to take my mom and dad out to eat Sunday instead. I won my dad an amazing Jord woood watch, I can't wait to give it to him!

my dad doesnt live in the same country as me, i live in canada,quebec with my mom and he lives in portugal.. but i will call him or maybe even do skype with him :) if i would win i would pick out maybe a book or books i dont know which ones tho

I grew up without a dad, but I didn't miss him because my mom was my dad. She passed away this Feb, and her I do miss.
ReplyDeleteI really do not have a dad. My father lives far away and though we speak....I don't know him well. I was raised by my grandparents and I will be taking flowers to my grandparents graves. I miss them every day.

ReplyDeleteMy Dad passed away 35 years ago but I will remember him with much love on Father's Day :) as I do all other days. My children will not be having a very happy Father's day as my ex-husband lives 6 hours away and is currently on home detention.
ReplyDeleteMy dad passed away in 2008 and I couldnt meet him since I was out of the country. If he would be alive he would like getting sun glasses and anti aging lotions and hair color. He was very fond of all these and would always keep himself well groomed.

ReplyDeleteWe almost always go fishing as a family for Father's Day, the plans are the same this year. It should be a lot of fun, the weather is supposed to be good! We don't really do presents for Father's Day as we would rather have time together instead of stuff.

ReplyDeleteUnfortunately my dad is New Jersey & I live in FL so I wont see him for fathers day but he's coming down in July & will celebrate then with him but we'll definitely celebrate my son's dad's day by taking him for brunch and pampering him all day :)

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry your dad is no longer here. I lost my mom almost 14 years ago, so I have similar feelings on Mothers Day. We will probably have breakfast with my dad on Fathers Day - and celebrate with my husband on a different day - probably with breakfast out as well. We are a breakfast loving family. : )

ReplyDeleteMy dad passed away 13 years ago. I used to take my mom to the cemetery on Father's Day,she liked to go, but doesn't drive anymore. This is the first Father's Day since she moved into the nursing home, she won't know it's Father's Day, so I will probably try to ignore the whole thing.

ReplyDeleteMy Dad in no longer with us in body but I can always feel his spirit and love of life. On Father's Day I always try to be in Virginia to visit my father who is buried at Arlington National Cemetery. He has been gone over 13 years but I see him every day and think about what a great Dad he was to me and my 4 siblings. My Mother, brothers, sister and I go to church, visit his grave and then celebrate his life during a lunch were we all tell our favorite stories about him. Although he was in three wars he had a great sense of humor so the stories about him and the fun we shared never end. He was a great father, no doubt, but he was also a great soldier who was the example of Duty, Honor and Country.

ReplyDeleteMy Dad passed away five years ago, so we are going to the cemetery to bring flowers for him and my Grandpa (they are buried next to each other in the National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL). Then my Mom, brothers, husband, and I will go out to eat lunch at a local Italian restaurant.
