Fall is my favorite time of the year with the colorful leaves and when I think of a Fall Harvest I think PUMPKIN.
I love Apple Pie, any fruit pie actually--but my absolute favorite is PUMPKIN PIE. Just plain old pumpkin pie--don't need whipped cream or any other additives-don't really care if it is store bought or home made-just give me a slice or three of Pumpkin Pie--I don't even need a fork!! If you want to see a full blown smile on my face---hand over the Pumpkin Pie!!

ReplyDeleteI don't think I have a real favorite. I've had such excellent pies in a lot of categories... but there was this one strawberry pie that stands out in my mind. If I had strawberry pie like that all the time, it would easily be my favorite :)
ReplyDeleteI really love peach pie or peach cobbler the best! Then add some vanilla ice cream and you will think you are in heaven. Otherwise, a good Southern Pecan Pie would be my 2nd choice.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite pie is one my dad would make on special occasions (meaning, my brother and I whined long enough about it!) It's a frozen peanut butter pie. So delicious. My favorite other dessert, one that would definitely get made around the holidays, are these cookies you mix pudding powder into. It keeps them soft and chewy even after they've cooled down. Love!

My favorite dessert is probably a nice chocolate eclair. You can't really find them much anymore. When I was younger, you could get them in bakeries and they were delicious.

ReplyDeleteMy family's favorite is this no bake chocolate pudding pie...crushed oreo crust, cream cheese, whipped cream, powdered sugar mixture, topped with rich chocolate pudding and more whipped cream. :) Only make this twice a year, though, for Thanksgiving and Christmas. One of my non chocolate favorites (the rest of the family likes this okay but rarely asks for it) is a caramel cinnamon apple pie. :)

ReplyDeleteI love all sorts of pies. When I was younger, my favorite holiday pie (always made by my aunt for the holidays) was a coconut custard. She lives too far away and is sort of estranged as well so I don't get that one anymore. Now my favorite is the chocolate buttermilk pie that I make. Yum. Now I'm the aunt who has a pie requested of her!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite pie is vegan apple pie with crumb topping! I also love vegan cherry pie. I have never had pumpkin pie but I am sure I would love it because I love pumpkin! I just have never made a vegan pumpkin pie before and I have never seen a vegan pumpkin pie in any store where I shop.

I've recently learned how easy they are to make too! My favorite that I've tried was pumpkin cheesecake that I made for Thanksgiving last year. It was such a hit I'm making it again this year!
