Book Review-The Jaffa Resonance-Patrick Delaney

This is a non stop action mystery with a bit of romance lots of biblical references and a whole lot more. It takes you on a world tour from North America, to the tropical rainforests of South America, to the Middle East to the Vatican in Italy.

Jose Santiago is working with a professor on a theory he has about ancient civilizations and the head. He hears about a place deep in the rain forest and goes to explore and to prove his theory. He finds the temple but is murdered before he can find the entrance. One of Jose's close sky diving friends, who also happens to be a neurologist is told of his friend's death by the sister he never knew Jose had! Now you know she is going to be gorgeous----ahem----well anyway she convinces Dr. Sean Casey to go with her to try to find out who done it. They meet with the professor and find out what the theory is and find out that among other things there may be a connection to the Holy Grail.

They meet a couple of helpful people and lots of people out to kill them on the way. And just when you think maybe the story is ending because things are slowing down--it gets real interesting again. Both of their lives will change at the end-bet you will never guess how! A definite 5. This is this authors first book and he is working on another one--I'll be waiting----

About the Book: (from Amazon)

Dr. Sean Casey is a skilled neurologist who deals with death and the intangibles of the nervous system on a daily basis. From the lips of a beautiful woman who claims to be the dead man's sister, he hears that his friend Jose Santiago has
been murdered. Santiago, a young graduate student, had been conducting archeological research in the Yucatan. A desire for the truth, the tantalizing woman, and the intrigue that Casey never knew surrounded Santiago are the driving forces that lead the physician to a labyrinthine temple deep within the rain forest. Between the indigenous peoples, the drug trade, and the DEA, it's a dangerous trek.

In Tuscany, the theft and destruction of a priceless 2,000-year-old icon results in underwater mayhem in an ancient Middle Eastern seaport and a test of wills in the Vatican. Casey's involvement will drastically change his perception of
himself as a healer, and place him on a collision course with some of the greatest relics known to history. To survive, Casey must follow his instincts and his heart--something that has never come naturally for him.

The Jaffa Resonance is uncompromising and unforgettable, with an unrelenting pace and a powerful emotional punch.
