I can't recall any books with Irish themes. The last book I read was The Fault in Our Stars.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read this book BUT it sounds like "MY" kind of book and I think I would really enjoy it. Also out of 170 readers reviews it has 4 1/2 out of 5 stars so that makes me think even more so it would be a good book. I only enjoy NON fiction books which is another reason I like the sounds of this one.

I love everything by Marian Keyes and Cecelia Ahern, and both of them are Irish so most of their books are set in Ireland :)
ReplyDeleteAny of the Frank McCourt books--I especially loved Angela's Ashes, but "'Tis" and "Teacher Man" were good, too. He also wrote a children's book called "Angela and the Baby Jesus". :o)

ReplyDeleteI associate fairy books with Ireland, and I have read a LOT of fairy books. Two of my favorites are The Faerie Path by Allan Frewin Jones and This Scepter'd Isle by Mercedes Lackey. I would say the first one is more of a children's book, while the second is more of an adult book. :)
ReplyDeleteI just finished Kiss Me I'm Irish by Bella Street. ( I think it is FREE on Amazon today)--Mauve Binchy has great books set in Ireland and Nora Roberts has several Trilogies set in Ireland.

I dont really know of any books with irish themes. I am more a scottish book fan. Any YA book with a scottish guy or scotland in it and im sold. Forevermore is my favorite YA scottish book.
