Mesothelioma - A Rare Form of Lung Cancer

When the Community Outreach Director for the contacted me and asked that I put some information up on my blog about this rare form of lung cancer, caused by the inhalation of asbestos particles-which if you have watched TV-have heard lawyers talking about, I of course said yes. I actually had not realized that this was Lung cancer month. I originally was going to try and do some research but when I went to the Mesothelioma Cancer Alliance website I realized that anything you would ever need to know is right there!

Here is a fact sheet that I was asked to put up

Asbestos is very dangerous and should only be removed by persons who are trained! Let us all get together and try to get asbestos removed from our environment once and for all.

Please visit the Mesothelioma Cancer Alliance and learn more about who is at risk and what you can do.

  1. Thanks for helping to raise awareness for this. Sometimes I see law practice commercials advertising this and if someone got it from whatever it was, to contact them. I had no idea what it actually was until now.

  11. It amazes me that there are still so many buildings with abestos insulation. If the lawmakers had to care for someone suffering from this disease I bet they would be more proactive. Thanks for the info.
