$25 Amazon/PP-1-WW-A Murderous Opening-Dianne Harman Ends 3/24

Wednesday, March 9, 2022

DeeDee's brand new restaurant is finally finished and the opening is the next day. It is better then she even imagined it would be-everything was perfect. Of course she was a nervous wreck. Susie-DeeDee's right hand is ready and the two of them start prepping food. What no one expected was that Susie's boyfriend would come in and make a scene. They managed to get him to leave and kept on with cooking and serving. Everyone loved the food!!

Jake, DeeDee's husband and a private investigator, came with his friends and they closed up and headed to their car. Jake noticed something strange in the only other car in the lot. He was pretty sure there was something wrong with the driver--he called 911. The person was dead!! Poor DeeDee-she was exhausted and worried that it would impact her new restaurant.

Jake asked the detective if he needed help--of course he did!! So Jake went about talking to people of interest. It was not easy-seems the dead guy was a serial dater--and none of his dates liked him!

Yes, they do find the person who just before she confessed almost jumped to her death. The happy ending will make you smile as will the recipes at the end of the book.

About the Book: (from Amazon)

After months of work and worry, the time has finally come. It's opening night at Deelish, DeeDee's new restaurant on Bainbridge Island, a ferry ride across Puget Sound from Seattle. It's a huge success, that is, until a dead body is found in a car in the restaurant's parking lot.

When it turns out the deceased person was murdered, DeeDee feels she must be responsible in some way for the murders that always seem to happen when she's around. Her husband, Jake, a private investigator, decides he has to find the murderer to save her restaurant's reputation.

The murdered man had a history of lying to women and cheating on them, but finding out if one of these angry women murdered him is the problem. There are too many of them, and the more Jake finds out about the decedent, the more he begins to wonder if sometimes murder may be justified.

Jake's not sure it was one of these women, because it's becoming clear to him that there are other suspects as well, people who hated the murdered man and definitely wanted something bad to happen to him. And the last thing Jake expected was to be the one who would save the murderer from committing suicide.

Join Jake, DeeDee, and her right-hand helper, Susie, who's worried that her boyfriend problems may have caused the murder, in their search for the murderer.

Not sure if the question is worded correctly? I have never dated someone a second time if I did not like them on the first date.

No but I did date a guy my Sr. year of high school just so I could have a date for prom. Now I cringe when I think I actually went out with him!
