I wasn't sure I would like this series as I thought it was more for teens than adults but I have read the first one and would love to read the rest.

My reaction would depend on the circumstances and what was stolen.
This sounds like a fun read.

We were robbed years ago, all you can do is call the police. They had a idea who did it but could not prove it. After that, a family member had to stay at home all the time , we took turns. And get a guard dog.

It depends on how valuable the stuff that was stolen. Some things can be replaced. And I would calls the police, otherwise.

Unfortunately, if I were robbed, I would likely just cut my losses and move on with my life. I'd probably alert the authorities, but it's not likely they would be able to catch the thief and return my things.

I would call the police first thing. Our shop was broken into several years ago, the police were called but unfortunately nothing was recovered. It doesn't hurt to call though, they need to know.

Depends on the reason I was robbed. First, I would call the police, but If the person is steeling for food or to support their family and are desperate, I would not press charges, but instead offer to buy them some food.

I let someone stay with me once and after I kicked her out she broke into my house and robbed me while I was at work. Even though I knew who it was it still made me very uncomfortable and vulnerable and quite scared. I stayed there for a while after but couldn't stay very long as I was always on edge.

If I was robbed in person I would try to do whatever I needed to do to stay safe. If it was not in person I would turn over all the evidence to the professionals that could help.

I’ve been robbed before but not like Fiona and Holly. When my car was broken into I called the police but something of this measure would probably lead me to a complete breakdown!

I have been robbed before. I was working two counties away..so about 35-45 away from my apartment building. Not only that drive but the fact I was working 12-16 hour shifts..gave the robbers plenty of time to completely clear out my apartment. They dumped my trash in the kitchen floor and used my trash can to fill up with anything worth one cent. They smashed my daughters piggy bank. They stole my parents wedding rings ( they divorced when I was six so was VERY IMPORTANT AND INVALUABLE). they stole my baby ring that my parents bought when I was born. They stole my food. I called the cops. But I also had friends that knew people. So I had them listen and sniff around for me.
They eventually had names for me and I turned them over to the police. They were arrested and bailed out within a few days and basically served no jail time. Slapped on the wrist. They took my parents rings and my baby ring and had it melted down for cash..

I would call the police. I have been trained in case of an active shooter, but it is hard to say what you would do in those situations Adrenalin tends to take over. I know the smartest thing to do is get out of the house without the robber seeing you and contact the authorities. Hopefully, I never have to find out for sure.

Holly Thomas said...

I would call the police if it was a stranger.

I honestly don't know what I would do. I think it would depend on the circumstances.
