Politicians all seem to have their little secrets which they keep securely hidden. It doesn't necessarily mean they are bad people but others seem to think that politicians are not human and are not allowed to have private lives.

Cash was the current Senator's pock for when he retired. He had cancer and did not have very long to live. This Senator was much beloved by the people. Unfortunately he had to make decisions that not everyone agreed with. And unscrupulous people would try to use his secrets against him to get what they wanted.

Kelly got drawn into one of these secrets and so felt for the woman that she tried to help. Unfortunately the Senator was murdered or committed suicide in his office-----

Who did it? You will probably not guess--but I know you will not guess at the ending!!

About the Book: (from Amazon)

Everyone looked up to the Senator, And he mentored so many people. A few knew about his mistress, And even his illegitimate daughter. But no one knew his ultimate secret. A secret that would only be revealed when he died, But death did come a little sooner than expected.

Kelly’s son, Cash, is running for the Oregon Senate with the blessing of Senator Johnson. But when the Senator dies, long held secrets come out, even some about people who were threatening to blackmail him. And was he really murder? Could it have been suicide?

Only his wife knows, but she’s become mentally incapacitated. Kelly and Mike never planned to get involved in this case, but sometimes, you just have to do the right thing.

An inspirational page-turning cozy mystery that will leave you with a smile on your face, a tear on your cheek, and a belief in your fellow man.

I don't talk about politics...Religion, politics and sex are all things that I was taught never to discuss.

Politicians can make mistakes as well it can effect so many people when they do.

I did like the politicians for the most part until this recent election, then they all seemed to fall apart.

I do know that politicians are human but they often forget that and think to be something more than they are not.

I do think that Politicians can make mistakes just like everyone else. Unfortunately those in positions of power are often held to a higher standard and are not always held accountable for those mistakes.

Politicians are certainly human and make mistakes like we all do. We can hope that people who go into the political life are hard working, honest and that they look out for the people that they were elected to represent.

I think most politicians after they get elected forget what it's like to be a regular person.

Most are out to get what they can for them self. only a few want to work for the people.

Yes, of course, politicians are human and entitled to their share of mistakes but they don’t always admit to their errors. Most Politicians understand that being held to higher standards comes with the job. We can’t follow them blindly without questioning their behavior and believing everything they say. We are responsible for making politicians understand they must govern within the boundaries of democracy.

I do understand that politicians are human and make mistakes just as the rest of us do. It would be difficult to be held to just high standards.

I think it would be difficult to be a politician. There would always be people who were unhappy!

I think its part of their job to maintain certain things so they are not allowed to make many mistakes.

I think career politians cater to whoever gives them the most money. Someone new in politics may make mistakes and if a mistake is made, admit to it and fix it. Dont cover it up.

I always think that some politicians are better than others, and those that are worse than others.

I realize politicians are human, but get annoyed quickly when I see them forget that they serve the public and not themselves.

I'm aware of politicians being human and making mistakes. However, I also believe that in todays political climate, there is a number of politicians that are corrupt.

I know that politicians are human but what's happening in our country now is something different. And it's not good. Sifg

I think a lot of politicians just say what they have to get themselves elected.

clc408 said...

I think that like all people, some politicians are much better than others.

Veronica Lee said...

I tend to agree with susan1215's comment. They always start out good but nearly always end up corrupted and self-serving.

Stormy Vixen said...

Yes I realize they are human and make mistakes, but for the most part if they are not corrupt they are too easily influenced by their party and don't listen to the people or do their best for the people and their needs!

Tough timing. I am feeling very dismayed by the current political situation in our country. That being said, I do realize that politicians are human and do make mistakes. I also think there is two sides (and a zillion more) to every story.

Most career politicians are in it for themselves Sad

They start off good for people I think and then, it's all about them really.

There are mostly good ones.
