Although this is considered the first book in this series and Prelude was actually written to explain it all--I read Prelude first (see my review here. It really helped to understand how Alec Winters came to have the amazing abilities he has! Though this can be read before Prelude--I would suggest you read that first.

As stated below this book is definitely not for anyone under 17--or for those who are faint of heart. The imagery and scenes portrayed are rather gruesome at times. Talk about an avenging angel--Alec Winters is it!!

You better believe I will be reading the rest of this series!

About the Book: (from Amazon)

Some see Alec Winters as a breathtaking, amazing angel, a savior. Others see him as a mind-blowing nightmare, the most terrifying demon their minds could ever conjure. Alec Winters roams the gritty streets of New Orleans as hero and protector of the innocent while he annihilates wicked evil-doers in this very dark-fiction, vengeance-driven 4-book thriller series. Get a behind-the-scenes look at sixteen-year-old Alec Winters, a New Orleans teen-jock, before his strange, supernatural transformation in Prelude. Then, continue the series to read Alec’s controversial story when he travels to Mobile Alabama in Port City, and to Melbourne Florida in Harbor City, the last installment in this emotionally-charged series. Not for the faint of heart, not recommended for those under the age of 17.

About the Author: (from Amazon)

Award-winning author, Chariss K. Walker, M.Msc., writes both fiction and nonfiction books with a metaphysical and spiritual component. Her fiction expresses a visionary/metaphysical message that illustrates growth in a character's consciousness while utilizing a paranormal aspect. Her nonfiction books share insight, hope, and inspiration. Even though Chariss writes dark-fiction about insanely dark topics, such as sexual abuse, incest, pedophilia, sexual assault, and other inappropriate dinner conversation, there is always an essential question of the abstract nature that gives a reader increasing awareness and perception. All of her books are sold worldwide in eBook, paperback, and many are in large print. Click the "follow" button to find out when new books are released. After reading the reviews I know I will not be buying it for me, although, there are a few steel stomached people in my family that would love it. I love giving books for holidays or thank-yous within my family because the books get passed all around and this one surely would those sick minded adult children and spouses of mine. lol Way to horror-ish, suspenseful, gory and night mare-ish for me but, so isn't law and Order.
