Diane Harman's Cozy Mystery AUDIOBOOK GA-3-WW-Ends 11/7

Saturday, October 17, 2015

Audiobooks have been out for a very long time-but unless you were interested in self help books--well--you probably were not too interested in them. Popular authors are now making their books-the ones we all love in audiobook form!! Honestly I have never listened to one yet (one of these days I WILL figure out how to attach the speakers to my computer). Dianne Harman-the author of 3 great cozy mystery series which you have seen on my site before has put the first in each of the the first 2 series she wrote on audiobook and wants people to listen to them thus the giveaway on Miki's Hope!

3 Lucky winners will win their choice of either the audiobook version of Kelly's Koffee Shop or Murder in Cottage #6. The winner must be 18 years of age or older-since this is a download-the winner can be from anywhere as long as they can download or listen to an audiobook. Rafflecopter will be used to choose the winners-I will email them and they must respond within 48 hours with their choice of book and the email address it should go to. I will forward the information to the author who is responsible for getting the audiobook to the winners.

Here are the 2 choices and where you can actually listen to a bit of it! When you click in there is a spot you can just click to listen right beneath the pictures.

Kelly's Koffee Shop: A Cedar Bay Cozy Mystery, Volume 1

Publisher's Summary (from Audible.com)

Kelly pulled into the harbor parking lot next to the pier and noticed that Amber's car wasn't in its usual place, and there was no sign of her. She was usually standing at the door of Kelly's Koffee Shop, waiting for Kelly to open up. "Wonder what that's all about," she thought.

The local residents of Cedar Bay come to Kelly's Koffee Shop for breakfast, lunch, and lots of gossip. Kelly serves it all up as she works to solve the murder of the high school Homecoming Queen. The townspeople can't believe what has happened in their sleepy little Oregon seaside town. She identifies five prime suspects, but which one did it?

Follow Kelly; her boxer dog, Rebel; and her boyfriend, Mike, the county sheriff, as they try to determine who the killer is in a murder that's shocked the town. Kelly's Coffee Shop is a mouth-watering cozy mystery with recipes! Learn more about Dianne's other books at DianneHarman.com

Murder in Cottage 6 : A Liz Lucas Cozy Mystery Series Book 1

Publisher's Summary (from Audible.com)

Liz Lucas, a 52 year old widow, is beginning to think she's been given a second chance at life by owning a successful spa located in a beautiful forest area on the coast north of San Francisco. What could possibly go wrong? Well, for starters, she discovers that a guest staying in cottage #6 at the spa has been murdered. In order to save the spa's reputation, Liz, along with her two dogs, Brandy Boy and Winston, sets out to find the killer.

The cast of characters includes a handyman, spa employees, the bumbling police chief, the owner of Gertie's Diner, the dead woman's husband (the mayor) and his girlfriend, and a Tiffany glass collector. One of them probably committed the crime, but it's up to Liz to quickly find the culprit.

Dianne is the author of two best-selling series: the Cedar Bay Cozy Mystery Series and the Coyote Series.

If you want to know what I thought about these 2 books you can find my review of Kelly's Koffee Shop here and Murder in Cottage 6 here.

And remember-Dianne Harman always has giveaways going on as well!! (always very easy to enter)

My son absolutely LOVES audiobooks and has been trying to get me into them as well. He drives a lot more than I do but he even listens to them at home. Maybe I DO need to listen to them since I truly do not have much time to relax and READ them!

I haven't had much chance to listen to audiobooks but I am planning a road trip across the country where radio will be limited, planning to listen to audiobooks on my trip. Also the twitter link for the author doesn't work - says can't find the page.

I love audiobooks, I listen to them while driving. I like finding books the whole family will love so that we can all listen together too.

I've been very curious about buying audiobooks to listen to in the car since I don't have a lot of time to read. I think this might be a great way to start.

Thanks and good luck everyone! I'm told people listen while they're commuting, jogging, or even doing housework!

That's a great idea, Dianne. I could see enjoying these during all of those activities.

I think an audiobook would be perfect for an afternoon run!

I have listened to some audiobooks. Some that I purchased on Amazon and I won a few in contests. I really enjoy them, they're nice when you are cleaning and too busy to sit down with a book. Thanks for the chance.

Is the Boxer a character too? If so my Mom would love it. She loves mysteries and listens to audio books. Plus she loves her Boxer.

I have been wanting to get into audio books, especially for travel either by car or airplane. I am planning on taking an overseas trip in the next years and with the long flights, these would be perfect.

Believe it or not, but I haven't tried listening to audio books. I think it's about time I try since my eyes are starting to hurt from reading a lot.

I haven't tried audio books, but I'm sure it's as fun as reading books. The stories sound very interesting.

Sounds like a great book. I love a good mystery!

I'm not adverse to audio books. I would have to do it while blogging though. Otherwise I get distracted and leave the room, missing part of what's being read. :)

I love audio books, and I listen to them almost daily. I listen to my favorite authors, and narrators.

I'm a big audiobook fan. I really started in on them several years ago when I had a long commute. When I started a home business, they continued to be a big hit. I have found that I am more willing to try a new-to-me author on audio than in text as I can keep my hands busy if the book doesn't grab me right away, giving the book longer to grow on me.

I love audiobooks. I listen to them when knitting or crocheting. My favorite was The Princess Diaries.
