Cancer, one of the most frightening words anyone, man or woman, will hear in relation to themselves or someone they know. But if caught quickly enough it may be able to be eradicated. There are also ways to detect some cancers quickly-and the earlier the detection the better the chances of full recovery from this devastating disease. Medical researchers have come a long way in understanding and treatment but is still in it's infancy. It is my sincere hope that in my lifetime I will be witness to an absolute cure of breast and all other cancers.

One small change: drink a couple of ounces of milk every time I feel the urge to eat some food. Milk can be quite filling. :)

I don't drink or smoke. I don't drink coffee. I cut out soft drinks in April, along with a bunch of other ways I changed what I ate/drank to be more healthy.

This month is no candy October for me. I'm trying to break a bad habit of just reaching for candy all the time. So far - so good!
